RAMSTEIN BASKETBALL
Privacy notice
Last updated: 14 September 2026
This notice describes the basketball website and the STRATO hosting intended for ramsteinbasketball.de. Publication on that domain may take place separately from the preview.
If you open the protected preview at a chatgpt.site address, it is provided through OpenAI Sites instead of the STRATO hosting package. Platform access, sign-in and the platform’s own processing are additionally covered by OpenAI’s privacy policy. The STRATO details below apply only to the domain website hosted there.
1. Data controller
Riccardo RussoMiesenbacher Straße 54
66877 Ramstein, Germany
Email: rrusso@rrcustoms.de
The controller for this privately operated website is Riccardo Russo, not TV 03 Ramstein e. V. The club’s processing of a separately submitted membership enquiry is distinct from this website.
2. Page requests and hosting
The hosting provider for the domain website is STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. Requests for pages or files involve technically necessary connection and access data. These include, in particular, the IP address, date and time, requested address, browser information, HTTP status and data volume, and, depending on the request, the referring page.
The purposes are website delivery, stability and security, and detection of errors and attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: a legitimate interest in a secure and functioning information service. STRATO processes hosting data as a service provider under its data processing terms.
STRATO states that visitor IP addresses are retained for attack detection and prevention for a maximum of seven days. Hostnames and IP addresses are anonymised in web server logs made available to customers. Those logs are available for up to six weeks; graphical statistics derived from them may remain available longer. This does not mean that all hosting data is deleted after seven days. Details: STRATO’s privacy and IP retention FAQ, log availability periods, and data processing terms, including subprocessors (German).
3. Language preference and no built-in advertising trackers
The website contains no own advertising or analytics trackers, embedded maps or automatically loaded external fonts. This does not exclude technically necessary access logs or features of the relevant hosting platform.
When you select DE or EN, the website saves only that language preference as ramstein-language in your browser’s Local Storage. It contains no form entries and is not sent to the operator by the website code. It remains until you clear the website’s browser data. Its purpose is to retain the language you requested on later visits. The basis is section 25(2)(2) TDDDG and, where personal data is involved, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can switch languages at any time or remove the saved website data in your browser settings. The website remains usable when storage is blocked.
4. Membership form: local completion only
Depending on what you enter, the assistant handles names, dates of birth, address, email, phone numbers, departments, family membership, payment frequency and optional account holder, bank, IBAN, BIC, place and date. These entries remain in the page’s working memory during use. The website does not persist them in browser storage or send them to the operator, club or a form service.
When you create a PDF, the blank template and a locally hosted PDF library are loaded. Your entries are added to the downloaded PDF on your device. Only requests for the blank files cause the usual hosting access data. Completion is voluntary. The clear function or reloading the page removes entries from the assistant. You must delete any previously downloaded files yourself. Do not leave a completed PDF on a shared device.
There is no direct submission or binding membership registration through this website. If you later send the document yourself, for example by email or to the club, that is separate processing. The club’s privacy information applies to an application submitted to it.
5. Email contact
If you email the operator, your email address, message and any information you voluntarily include are processed to handle and answer your enquiry. The basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (a legitimate interest in answering enquiries) or, where applicable to steps towards a contract with the operator, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. The service provider used for email communication processes the transmission and storage data required for that purpose.
Correspondence is retained only as long as needed to handle the enquiry, protect legal claims or meet statutory retention requirements. You are not automatically added to a newsletter. Please do not send unsolicited bank details or other particularly confidential information by unencrypted email.
6. Player, coach and game data
The website contains publicly reported fixtures, teams, results and standings, as well as players’ names or abbreviated names, jersey numbers, documented appearances and performance statistics. Contact persons are shown with names and published contact details. Sources are the federation and club pages linked alongside the data, in particular basketball-bund.net or basketballbund.net, and supplied game reports.
The purpose is information about local basketball and its season history. Publication relies on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR only where the information interest is not overridden by the affected person’s rights following a balancing assessment. The fact that information is publicly available does not replace that assessment. Children’s interests require particular consideration. Where individual content requires consent, it must be obtained separately; this notice does not claim blanket consent from everyone involved.
On the public domain, published data is accessible worldwide and may be indexed by search engines or copied by others. Historical data remains in the archive for as long as necessary for sporting documentation and lawful to publish. Inaccurate or no longer necessary data must be corrected, removed or anonymised. Please contact the controller above for a review, correction or objection. Local analysis of original game-report photographs does not by itself publish those complete photographs and their personal details.
7. External links, maps and calendars
Google Maps, Google Calendar, the club website, federation websites and help pages are ordinary links. The website does not load a map or connect to Google for a map before you click. After opening an external link, the respective provider processes data under its own rules; processing outside the EU/EEA may occur. For example, see Google’s privacy policy.
PDF, Word and ICS files can be downloaded. Downloading an ICS file does not automatically add events to a calendar. When you import it or open a Google Calendar link, your calendar application determines further storage, potentially in your account with that provider.
8. Your rights
Subject to the legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may withdraw any consent for the future at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Right to object: Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation under Article 21 GDPR. Please email rrusso@rrcustoms.de.
You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular where you live or work or where the alleged infringement occurred. In Rhineland-Palatinate, this is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (German complaint form). This website does not use automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects, or related profiling.
9. Changes
This notice covers the functions described here. Direct submission, additional analytics, embedded media or a hosting change require an appropriate update before the new processing is activated.
